First double A-Final win at Club100, plus fastest lap!

DOUBLE A-FINAL WIN AND FL AT ELLOUGH PARK FOR CLUB100 ROUND 5!

Couldn’t have asked for a better result at Ellough Park for round 5 of this year’s Cadet Lightweight Championship at Club100. Having never raced at Ellough Park before, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy my best performance to date in Club100 at this track, but I really enjoyed the flowing, highly technical nature of the track layout, and quickly got in my groove, qualifying in P2 for the Pre A Final.

I didn’t enjoy my best start in the Pre-A, getting pushed wide in the first corner and finding myself falling from second to eighth position, but I patiently made my way back through the pack and managed to nab the fastest lap of the day in the process, with a 52.798. By the final couple of laps of the race I was back in third, and on the final lap I managed a double overtake on the leaders to take the win!

In the Trophy A Final, I was on pole with my good mate Matteo Ehrenfuechter starting third. After Matteo made his way to second, he and I had a fantastic battle toward the end of the race, but I managed to hold on to claim the win, capping what was pretty much the perfect day of Club100 racing.

With the drop rounds factored in, I’m now in fourth place in this year’s championship and looking forward to returning to Whilton Mill for round 6 next month, which was the scene of my first Club100 A Final win earlier this year.
